Good habits can begin at an early age! For our LSCU members ages 12 and under, we offer a special program to help develop excellent savings habits. To help Lone Star CU, we’ve enlisted the help of the Lone Star Ranger and his friends Armadillo, Horse, and Raccoon.
A Lone Star Ranger account only costs $25 to open and it earns a higher rate of interest than our Regular Savings Account (once the balance reaches $2,500 the interest rate will return to the Regular Savings Account rate). View Lone Star Credit Union's current deposit rates.
Upon opening a Lone Star Ranger Account, young members receive a Ranger ID card, Ranger Badge, and a quarter savers folder. Every time you bring in a $5.00 deposit or a full quarter savers folder ($5.00), we’ll let you pull a special prize from the treasure chest…there’s one at every branch!
Lone Star Ranger and his buddies also have educational materials and fun interactive games that teach the importance of money management and saving. Feel free to visit our Youth Center for more fun stuff just for kids!
